Mina Nickon,
Founder and President

It has been three  years since Mina Nickon founded Senior Care Connection. Her passion for seniors, understanding of their needs and challenges, along with the joy she experienced in working with this group, gave birth to Senior Care Connection.

Mina‘s experience has spanned over 25 years in healthcare and human services. Her diverse background includes geriatric care management, supported housing, residential treatment and rehabilitation programs. In the last decade she has focused on serving seniors and providing top quality care in a variety of settings ranging from independent and assisted living to Alzheimer’s care communities.

In addition to holding a master’s degree in Human Services, she is a state certified administrator for residential care facilities, a member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers, the Case Management Society of America and California Advocates for Nursing Home Reforms. Mina's vision for Senior Care Connection is to assist seniors in need of care or housing in finding the “best fit” services. For active seniors, she intends to provide a friendly and useful outlet where they can share opinions, ask questions, make recommendations and access practical information. It is Mina's sincere hope that the SCC web site will be a step toward achieving these goals.
