Text Box: Board & Care Homes are small private homes that generally accommodate a small number of residents, typically  six or more. The care givers are usually live- ins. This model is a good alternative for those seniors who prefer a private and home like setting where they can feel at home while receiving around the clock assistance  with activities of daily living.  B&C homes follow the same regulations as larger assisted living facilities (title 22). They are licensed under Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing. The rates are all inclusive and usually range from $1500-3500/month, depending  on the level of care, location and the amenities.
